Fun and Casual Family Photo Session at Aliso Beach
Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Gaya Family at Aliso Beach here in California. The mom, Kelly, was concerned about the process of buying outfits for her whole family and doing everyone’s hair and all of those things that can be stressful the day of the family photo session. To alleviate the stress of his wife Ryan, suggested that they go with the look their family has everyday- hats! They wear hats all day everyday. They all live in hats and t-shirts and they are always on the beach. So they planned out a totally fun and casual family photo session that included shots of them building sand castles and surfing.
The sunset was great and the Gayas were full of smiles and fun so I’d say it was all pretty successful! It was very clear that Kelly felt little to no stress and the kids loved wearing their hats and t-shirts! Who wouldn’t love not having to do any hair for a session?
Location:
We planned the location of their family photo session for Aliso Beach thinking that there wouldn’t be a ton of people there because of the rough shore break. Beach photography looks great no matter the shore break. However, it was packed! So, needless to say, I edited out a bunch of people in the images. But, in the end they look great!
A Wonder Evening!
I even brought my family because my husband is cousins with Kelly so we love their family and love spending time with them.
Following the family photo session we met up at a restaurant and had fun eating dinner together. I’d say it was a wonderful night for sure!
